About Me

Hi, I’m Lisa!
I’m a wife, mum, grandma, carer, volunteer, welfare officer, breast cancer survivor, and lifelong adventurer. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — from supporting my husband’s health journey, to helping families and children in my community, to keeping life busy and fun as a grandma. I’ve also been a school governor, foster carer, and self-employed bookkeeper, so my life has always been full of varied and meaningful experiences.

Why I Blog
I created Grandma Lisa’s Life to share stories from everyday life, helpful tips I’ve picked up along the way, and a little humour to lighten life’s ups and downs. Whether you’re a fellow grandparent, caregiver, or someone who enjoys real-life stories, I want this blog to feel welcoming, useful, and entertaining.

My Life and Adventures
I’m navigating life as a breast cancer survivor and managing inflammatory arthritis, so I know first-hand the challenges, joys, and lessons that life can bring. Outside of my volunteer work and caring roles, I love exploring the world — from cruises to weekend getaways — and I’m a trainee gardener, learning as I go. I’ve been a dog owner for many years, and my current companion is Jake, a lively Jack Russell who keeps life interesting.
